BLU-Tique, Akron, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I wasn't sure what to expect. I grew up in Akron and attended St. Vincent's...so it was really cool to sit in the bar/restaurant and see my old high school....and show my partner. I slept well because the bed and bedding were wonderful. The shower, OMG, I want that shower! The amenities were excellent, thank you very much, and I appreciated the iron/ironing board since I needed to press my dress for a wedding. CLEAN! The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit cut into bite size pieces, egg, granola, pastries...perfect! IT was a surprise and I was delighted! The breakfast lady, the one from Detroit, is AMAZING! She made the whole trip. She suggested we check out the Blu Jazz on Saturday night and I loved it...why did I ever move away? All good. Easy check out too!

The rooms were very clean and the staff was super nice. I like the security of them locking the doors after 11. The parking garage was free for hotel guests. Our venue we were going to was right across the street! Overall, a great stay.

Great location for my meetings at Summa health. Charming building and clean room. Walking distance to a nice brewery- Acronym Brewing- and the best little coffee shop in the USA- Akron Coffee Rosters.

Hotel is A+++ by all means. But what really makes the place truly exceptional is extremely forthcoming personnel and among them Mrs Danett is really a rare find.
